Singles are always welcome at Fish & Bear, but this event is specifically for single people. The focus is on developing friendships at an event where being single is the norm. We are starting this because some of our attendees said they came to us to be social and meet new people. They’d often spent time on dating apps, thinking that a romantic relationship would fulfill this need, but had found that approach lacking.
This is a sweet, hidden event space tucked in the back of this amazing hydroponics and exotic-flower store. The entrance is at the rear, and you can easily park in the lot as the other units will be shut for the evening.

We’re bringing back real human connection through spontaneous, unscripted storytelling. No performances, no opinions, no story-selling — just real people sharing real experiences.
The Evening (6:00 PM sharp)
Please arrive on time. We keep the storytelling circle small so the rounds stay lively, and late arrivals or early departures are disruptive. If you can’t commit to the full evening, you’re warmly welcome as a listener.
Part One – We open with a couple of story rounds. The first is almost always “The Story of Your Name” — everyone’s an expert there. Up to 12 people join the storytelling circle; everyone else listens.
Break – Stretch, chat, and find the restroom.
Part Two – A few more story games to close out the structured portion.
Free Time – Mingle while we tidy up. As a courtesy to the store, please help leave the space as you found it.
